I think that this subject "Overcoming Infidelity In Marriage" deserves its own section as helping people where infidelity has occurred can be more involved. Trust has been damaged and it takes time to rebuild. Much like a flower garden when seeds are planted. if the seeds are watched daily, it seems like nothing is happening. But if one goes away and gets occupied with living, on recheck, the flowers have become big and beautiful!
Many people believe that there is no return from infidelity but I do not find this to be the case. Many people also believe that infidelity is the fault of the partner who was cheated upon and the fault of a bad marriage. This is not at all my experience.
The nature of the infidelity does need to be understood and steps taken to repair the damage. Unlike a broken egg, things can be put back together. Most people are surprised and pleased with the outcome. Me too–not surprised, but pleased.
